- Ensure an excellent quality of service for our customers by taking ownership of incidents and proactively seeking service improvements with our technology and incident management teams.
- Manage clear and effective communications of the risks and performance of our services across multiple levels of commercial and technology partners.
- Liaise closely with the development community to ensure the supportability of our services is maintained through effective telemetry & logging, well maintained runbooks, actionable alerting & monitoring and important metrics.
- Coordinate the on-call teams and ensure situational awareness across technology to ensure we minimise customer impact during planned and unplanned outages.
- Proactively review the risks, observability and performance of our services to recommend and provide improvements.
- Maintain the current state of our services through configuration management, service mapping and working with development teams to support the handover of the latest features and applications.
- Provide out of hours support and assist in special events and releases.
- Experience in the support of high-volume or high-profile customer facing online services where reliability and delivery need balancing.
- Be an excellent communicator who is excited by technology, with an ability to communicate the right message at the right level.
- Have a working knowledge of running modern web applications and services with and appreciation for aspects of networking, databases and software delivery principles.
- Be an inquisitive and determined problem solver who can employ critical thinking and analysis to complex issues.
- Experience of case management and ITSM (IT Service Management) tooling and frameworks.
- Good working knowledge in utilising and maintaining a variety of monitoring and observability solutions.

Digital Transformation
Ground-breaking projects. Innovative tech. Top innovation. Join our Digital Transformation team and you’ll work across technology projects that drive our TV, broadband and mobile propositions. You’ll be at the heart of delivering the technology roadmaps that support our UK, ROI and European businesses, with a focus on customer innovations for Sky Glass. That’s not all. You’ll also design, develop and deliver digital services for millions of customers across the UK.
As part of Digital Transformation, DC Labs build their services using several JavaScript frameworks with a React frontend. Relying heavily on GraphQL (written in node.js) to manipulate customer and product data from many Java based rest services. All based on a private and public cloud hosting strategy with varying Continuous Deployment practices.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
